I crossed the Alps with an army, elephants, and a hatred of Roman arrogance learned at my father's altar. At Cannae I surrounded and destroyed a larger Roman force. Rome survived not because it defeated my idea quickly, but because it could lose catastrophically and still continue. That is the most dangerous kind of enemy.
