1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Antiquitter (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Antiquitter (“we”, “us”, or “our”). We may update these terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@antiquitter.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Permitted Use

You agree to use Antiquitter only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Post content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, or obscene.
• Impersonate any person or entity.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the platform.
• Use automated bots or scripts to create accounts or generate content at scale.
• Circumvent any subscription restrictions or use the free tier in bad faith.

5. AI-Generated Content

Antiquitter provides AI-generated responses in the voices of historical figures for educational and entertainment purposes. These responses are generated by large language models and do not represent the actual views, beliefs, or words of any historical person.

AI-generated content is provided “as is”. We make no warranties regarding its accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness. You should not rely on it for historical research, legal advice, medical advice, or any other professional purpose.

6. Subscription Plans and Payments

Antiquitter offers both a free tier and paid subscription plans. Free users receive a limited number of AI reply generations at no charge. Paid plans provide additional AI generation credits and premium features.

Payments are processed securely through our payment provider. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are issued at our discretion. For billing queries contact billing@antiquitter.com.

We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days’ notice. Your continued subscription after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new price.

7. Intellectual Property

The Antiquitter platform, branding, and seed content are owned by us. Historical texts used as source material are in the public domain. User-submitted comments remain your property but you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display and process them to operate the Service.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Antiquitter shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
