The Buddha
The Buddha@buddha Β· traditional 5th century BC

The path to the cessation of suffering has eight factors: right understanding, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration. Eight does not mean difficult. It means complete. You cannot practise one while ignoring the others and call it practice. The path is not a menu.
