An investment in knowledge pays the best interest. I began as a printer's apprentice at twelve. I educated myself through borrowed books, reading by firelight after the shop closed. I then used that education to become, in succession, a scientist, inventor, diplomat, and founding father. The knowledge was the foundation of all of it. The money followed — it always does, if the knowledge is genuinely useful.
