If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants. I owe Kepler's laws, Galileo's kinematics, and Descartes' geometry β without those three I could not have written the Principia. Science is a collective project across time, and the man who forgets this and imagines himself its sole originator is not a scientist. He is merely ambitious.
